Landice treadmill reviews

Few of us have the budget to spend around $4,000 on a treadmill. But if you’re one of the lucky few, a Landice treadmill should be on your treadmill list. To help you decide, here are some trade and consumer reports and reviews.
The company has been making treadmills – and only treadmills – for over 35 years. Few other sporting goods manufacturers can claim to specialize in just one type of machine. And few can match it in terms of build quality, performance and prestige.
What makes a Landice treadmill one of the best out there is their philosophy of putting great parts in their treadmills and keeping the design very simple.
But first, let’s explain the different models available. They come in two main types: the LTD (Light Commercial) is designed as a home treadmill, while the Club (Full Commercial) treadmill is designed for health clubs.
These two models come in three finishes; Professional athletic trainer, cardio trainer and executive trainer. The only difference between them, apart from the price, is the display. The Pro Sports Trainer has a very basic display while the Executive’s display is fantastic.
There are three treadmill models available; the L7, L8 and L9.
The L7 model is available in LTD (Light Commercial) and Club (Full Commercial) versions.
The L8 model is only available in the LTD (Light Commercial) version.
The L9 model is only available in the Club (Full Commercial) version.
There are not many commercial or customer reviews of Landice treadmills on the internet. However, I managed to find the following.
These comments are from epinions.com and are from customers who have actually purchased and used an L7 treadmill.
“This is the best treadmill; You would find it at your local gym. With a lifetime guarantee, you may never buy another one. I love it!’
“A lot of money, but also a lot of treadmill. I would buy it again.”
“Having tested many treadmills, the Landice L7 seems very well constructed, stable and durable. It has the cushioning that keeps the workout going with minimal body strain. The treadmill movement and incline increase are very functional, quiet and smooth.’
“The Landice L7 Sport Pro Trainer is the ideal treadmill for runners. It doesn’t have a lot of frills, but it beats all the others when it comes to quality and mechanics.”
This comment is from a review on treadmillsensei.com – a site owned by a man with over 20 years of experience in the industry.
“When you run the Landice L7 Pro Sport you won’t notice any wobble in the uprights or console and you’ll find that the frame and base are the strongest you’ve ever run on… (Landice Treadmills) are like tanks… if tanks were designed and built by BMW.
Finally, we have this comment from The Treadmill Doctor.
‘If you can’t get a good deal on another treadmill in this price range, Landice is the right choice.’
All of the above comments praised the company’s devices, but what about negative comments? Are there any? Well, yes, and they’re almost all warranty-related. The company’s machines come with one of the best warranties in the industry, but many complain about the disclaimers and loopholes. For example, read this comment from epinions.com.
“Landice has been shown to be very deceitful as a company and in relation to its company policies, by selling through dealers who have not disclosed Landice’s policies and then failing to honor their obligations as stated in their dealers’ disclosures. I would never do business with Landice or any retailer that sells Landice products again.
Reviews of the company’s devices are generally very positive in terms of quality and performance, and the overall rating of the devices is exceptionally high. However, there are major concerns from customers about the lifetime warranty offered by the company. My advice is that you be sure to read the warranty policy and insist that the authorized dealer explain all warranty requirements to you so that you are fully covered.
But if you don’t have any problems soon after installation, you’ll likely have years of trouble-free service. My overall rating of the Landice treadmill is 4.5 out of 5.
